F1 Arcade – Bar Medallions and Clamps
Precision design for a global hospitality brand
We were commissioned by F1 Arcade to design a set of bespoke brass medallions that would complement the sleek, high-end aesthetic of their bar interiors. The goal was to create a premium feature that balanced durability with refinement — something that looked at home in a world-class hospitality setting.
All brass components were designed in-house by us here at PD Customs, before being manufactured by one of our trusted production partners to our exact specifications. Every dimension, surface finish, and fixing detail was carefully developed to ensure the final pieces matched our design intent.
Today, our medallions can be found across F1 Arcade venues in London, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Denver, and Las Vegas, with the next installation due to open in Atlanta in January 2026.
Designing with intent
The medallions began life as a series of CAD concepts developed by our internal design team. The design focused on clean geometry and practical interchangeability — allowing the branded inserts to be swapped out while maintaining a consistent visual language across all locations.
Each medallion features a machined brass frame with a polished finish that gives it both warmth and sophistication, perfectly suited to the premium bar environments F1 Arcade is known for, with a magnetic insert to allow the medallion to be attached to the bar pumps.
Developing the clamp system concept
Alongside the medallion design, we explored a custom mounting clamp system, engineered to provide a non-invasive, elegant way to fix the medallions to bar columns and structures.
This design incorporated a polished brass collar, protective rubber liner, precision steel (ferromagnetic) backplate, and concealed brass fixings — creating a neat, functional assembly that aligned with the aesthetic of the medallions themselves.
While the clamp concept ultimately did not progress to production, the process showcases our full in-house capability for design, mechanical modelling, and prototype visualisation – an example of our ability to move from creative concept through to engineered solution.

Once machined and polished, each brass medallion was paired with a custom printed insert, featuring recognisable beer brands including Heineken, Guinness, Blue Moon, Peroni, and others. These inserts were precision-fitted to sit flush within the frames, ensuring a seamless, tactile finish that looks both contemporary and robust.
The resulting medallions not only serve as functional brand markers but also contribute to the atmosphere and visual rhythm of F1 Arcade’s bars — consistent across multiple international venues.
